Rick's Cabinet Tree owner Rick Blanco received the 2004 Florida's Best Award for Best Kitchen in the $750,000-$1.5 million price range. The certified kitchen designer has also won many other awards from the Florida Builder Association for designs in homes ranging from $300,000 to $5 million. Blanco has been in the woodworking business since he arrived in Miami in the 1960s, when he began working at the uncle's cabinet-making factory. In 1991, he opened Rick's Cabinet Tree, specializing in high-end kitchen designs. He became a certified kitchen designer in 1997, making him one of only 64 CKDs in Florida.
